By doing these master studies it helps in getting a good idea of how perspective, colour theory and contrast affects the whole outcome. The aim of these master studies was to not focus too much on the smaller details but on how the colour is used, for example the foreground consists more of darker and contrasting colours compared to the background (this helps in emphasising the depth of the environments).
